Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose, troubleshoot and repair basic operational failures to electrical generator systems and basic engine failures or related components
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Must have excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to interact professionally with customers and all levels of personnel within the organization
  • Must be a strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to perform well under stressful situations
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new knowledge
  • Must be self-starter and well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service
  • Must have an excellent driving record
  • Must be able to work additional hours as required and travel as needed to attend training
  • Must be proficient in the use of technical software, databases and manuals

Requirements

  • Previous experience diagnosing and troubleshooting basic engine failures and performing mechanical repairs to electrical generator systems and related equipment
  • Completed EPG Apprenticeship program
  • High school diploma or GED, required

Physical Requirements

  • Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Frequently required to sit
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 70 pounds

Starting Compensation Range: $30.45 - $44.40 per hour

Benefits

We offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires, payable after 90-days of employment.
