About the role
The EPG Rental Technician is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing EPG rental equipment for power, temperature control, air, pumps, and used equipment, at a Carter or customer facility. This position requires a thorough understanding of Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps, as well as advanced troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform product improvement plans on Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, pumps, UPS, and paralleling
- Work independently in the field as needed to support all PSD rental equipment
- Work well in a team environment
- Communicate effectively with both oral and written methods
- Prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service
- Available for after-hours emergency service requests for customers
- Able to work additional hours as required and travel out of town, including out of the country to meet customers’ demands
- Experience in the use and application of electronic software
- Adequate driving record required with the ability to obtain a CDL and/or DOT certification

Requirements
- Thorough understanding of Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Previous experience with UPS and parallels, diagnosing and troubleshooting engine failures and performing mechanical repairs to electrical generator systems and related equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Physical requirements: stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, frequently lift and/or more up to 70 pounds, specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Qualifications
- Experience in the use and application of electronic software

Starting Compensation Range: $26.46 - $38.81 per hour
