About the role
You will serve as an Electric Power Controller, Production Division in the Public Works Department Norfolk of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Responsibilities
- Operate power distribution systems characterized by a wide variety of uses.
- Interpret priority lists to plan load shedding schedules.
- Interpret load requests to schedule blocks of power requested by users.
- Interpret operating instructions and distribution equipment operating criteria.
- Interpret circuit diagrams and equipment layout drawings.
- Interpret guidelines such as load shedding priority schedule, operating criteria of equipment, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Qualifications
- Must demonstrate through experience and training the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
- Screen-out element: Must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification Handbook for Trades and Labor Occupations.
