Electric Motor Winder - Little Rock, AR

About the role

Rewind various kinds of electric motors, pumps, and electro-mechanical apparatus including but not limited to random wound & form wound three-phase AC motors, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, transformers, and alternators while working both independently and with teams. Promote strong company image through professional conduct and exemplary work ethic.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License (required)
• Valid Driver’s License with CDL and DOT health certification (preferred)
• Three years’ experience winding, servicing, and repairing industrial electric motors

Skills & Abilities

• Inspect & test various kinds of electric motor windings for damage and evidence of electrical conformance
• Diagnose and repair various kinds of electric motor windings
• Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to winding characteristics and connections
• Understand electrical circuits
• Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems, and various hand tools
• Operate test equipment properly, including but not limited to surge tester, megger, voltmeter, ammeter, etc.
• Communicate clearly with other technicians and supervisors
