Electric Motor Mechanic / Winder

Location: Louisville, KY | Type: Direct hire | Work mode: On site | Salary: $22–30 an hour

About the role

Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and test a variety of electrical/mechanical equipment (AC/DC motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, etc.). Utilize tools such as multimeters, high-pot testers, growlers, micrometers, and calipers for accurate diagnostics and measurement. Conduct failure analysis, document findings, and follow proper procedures for part identification and reassembly. Perform in-house and on-site repairs; follow OEM, EASA, and customer specifications. Maintain accurate records of testing, troubleshooting, and final quality checks.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience or relevant training (EASA/military)
• Strong skills in diagnostics, repair, and mechanical/electrical safety practices at a skilled-trades level
