Pay

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Read work cards to understand job status, work authorizations, and problem descriptions.
  • Test electromechanical equipment for known or suspected issues using various methods (AC or DC).
  • Disassemble equipment, noting details and condition of parts.
  • Clean equipment assemblies using various methods.
  • Measure or note appropriate replacement parts and order items as approved.
  • Replace or repair worn assemblies (e.g., bearings, brushes, gears).
  • Retest reassembled equipment to verify proper operation.
  • Complete documentation for each job accurately and promptly.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Lift, tighten, adjust, or secure heavy objects.
  • Maintain a clean work area as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assist other mechanics or shop personnel as instructed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Execute test panels independently.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and assemble motors and pumps with rolling element bearings without supervision.
  • Perform root cause analysis under supervision.
  • Verify machine operation accuracy without supervision.
  • Read, verify, and independently record external winding connections.
  • Assist in the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of various equipment without supervision.
  • Measure rotor TIR without supervision.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Pacific Time), with overtime as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Over 5 years of experience as an AC/DC motor mechanic preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to understand, execute, and retain various skill-based trainings, as well as operational and safety procedures, as demonstrated to a supervisor.
  • Safety-conscious professional capable of performing tasks in dynamic environments with moving components.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at elevated heights to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Regularly handle loads up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Quick responsiveness to avoid or mitigate potentially hazardous situations, safely traverse uneven terrain, and climb ladders up to 50 pounds.
  • Routine tasks include standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and talking or listening.
