About the role
Under general direction and supervision of the Electric Engineer I/II, this temporary part-time internship assists in engineering duties related to the electric transmission and distribution system, including project oversight, technical support, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Assists with engineering and construction design duties related to the electric transmission and distribution system
- Prepares specifications and bid documents
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of bid awards
- Supports the Electric Engineer I/II with Project Management duties on assigned projects
- Assists with engineering review of consultant submittals
- Interacts with contractors on material pickup and other project inquiries
- Performs other duties and assignments as required
Requirements
- Enrolled in a four-year BS degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Up to one year of experience
- Valid driver’s license
Schedule
Expected to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available.
Pay
$14.00 - $20.00 per hour.
Employment is contingent upon passing a physical examination including drug/alcohol screening and a comprehensive background check.
