Electric Actuator Repair Technician - Level 2 (MOV/Actuator Experience)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites both on and offshore to meet with clients and discuss equipment issues.
• Perform Pre-Work JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
• Absorb and repair equipment issues as needed.
• Communicate company deliverables to clients and ensure accurate and timely internal and external communications.
• Ensure the safety of the work environment and comply with company, client, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
• Conduct Behavioral Safety Observations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and secure work area.
• Assume responsibility for related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Train and mentor new employees, convey seminar/training session knowledge, and work on-call/off shift as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair control and automated valve assemblies.
• Use basic hand and measurement tools.
• Lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Work overtime, including weekends, as required.
• Fulfill company safety training requirements and customer site requirements.
• Fill CWX service-related documentation.
• Exercise the stop work authority program.
• Travel up to 15% of the time.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical Certification preferred from an accredited Vo-Tech or Community college. Minimum High School Graduate.
• Experience: Must have experience with MSDS Review, Valve Identification and Write-up, Duplication Nameplate Process, GVT Entry, Upload Digital Photos in GVT / Network Drive, Follows Directions on Customer Requirements, Set up and perform incoming inspection on electric actuation, Running the MOV, checking rotation, checking limits and torque switches, Pictures, stenciling, stroking and recording all the details in the traveler and GVT, Set up and perform incoming inspection on electric actuation, Running the MOV, checking rotation, checking limits and torque switches, Recognizing and handling of hazardous materials, Ability to disassemble, mark, and clean components per OEM specifications, Gear box repair of all sizes and types, Tear down and assemble the mechanical portion of all types of electric actuators, Capable of Performing Inspection, Use of dial calipers for determining stem profiles, Use of inside and outside micrometers, Use of thread gauges for determining stem profiles, Use of tape measure, Use of measuring scales, Use of depth gauges, Use drill press, Bench grinder, Band saw, Polishing bores with Die grinders, Utilize OEM Critical Dimension Criteria, PMI (Qualified to use Alloy Analyzer), Complete Travelers Thoroughly & Accurately, Requisitioning and Submittal for Approval to Replace Parts, Complete all MOV condition inspection, record details in the traveler and communicate with customer service on the repair scope and needed parts, Code knowledge for Minimum Flange Thicknesses and Bolt Patterns ASME-B16.5, Code knowledge for Center to Face Dimension Tolerances ASME-B16.1, Understands and Can Trace GVT History, Able to Work from CWX Repair Order Instructions, Able to Work from Customer Test Report/Specification Sheet, Knows and Utilizes GCLA Procedures, Knows and Utilizes Various Maintenance Manuals, Tubing Bending and Fitting, Trouble shooting electrical portion of some electric actuators. EIM, L-120, Trouble shooting electrical portion of all types MOVAPI Code Knowledge API-598, API-6D and API-6DR, Application/Utilization of Mfg. Manuals for Testing, Media Knowledge Compressed Air, Media Knowledge Water, Media Knowledge Nitrogen, Operation of Block valve test stand, Completes Test Reports Correctly as Tester or Witness, Hydro testing and Witness, Application/Utilization of
