Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and configure electrical systems on trucks, including both house wiring and DC wiring.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electro-mechanical systems on trucks and related equipment.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete installations and repairs accurately.
- Assemble, test, and maintain electromechanical components and systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Provide customer service before, during, and after training events, acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments.
- Support field service activities, including on-site installation, maintenance, and repair as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving AC/DC circuits, electronics, and mechanical components.
- Document work performed, including repairs, installations, and modifications, in a clear and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and cross-training across departments.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable codes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of electrical experience working with DC wiring.
- At least 3 years of electro-mechanical experience in a hands-on environment.
- At least 3 years of experience with AC/DC systems and circuits.
- At least 3 years of experience working with schematics, pneumatics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly, installation, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Strong field service skills, including on-site diagnostics and customer support.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) or a closely related discipline.
- Experience working on truck electrical systems or similar mobile equipment.
- Experience in both house wiring and DC wiring applications.
- Comfort working in customer-facing roles, including during training events.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety.
- Interest in cross-training and learning new technologies and systems.
