ELDS Quality Tester- 1st shift

About the role

The work model for this onsite role is based in Mebane, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validate manufacturing processes.
  • Execute assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines; report any non-compliance.
  • Assist the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing process.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot identified issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of working in an electrical or wiring experience or applicable electrical coursework.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
  • Data analysis and reporting experience.
  • Experience with customer relationships.
  • Experience performing planned maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge and use of tools: tape measure, calipers, other hand tools, and electrical current & voltage measurement tools as needed.
  • Knowledge of voltage, current, resistance, AC/DC electrical circuits.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
