What You'll Do

  • Set-up/break down, clean, monitors, and records the operation of assigned machinery/equipment.
  • Follow all applicable production processes to operate and meet or exceed daily production requirements.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement job assignment promptly to conduct testing expeditiously, without compromising quality.
  • Adhere to existing corporate policies and procedures in the Production Department, including safety and good housekeeping practices.
  • Decrease product variability through proper equipment preparation and conduct all assigned work in compliance with established procedures.
  • Maintain neat, concise, and accurate records of all associated paperwork.
  • Meet or exceed daily production requirements per product specifications as set by Production Planning.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Work Environment

  • A large percentage of the time is spent in the production area where noise level can be moderate to high.
  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
  • Push/Pull up to 500 lbs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and/or two years of college in a technical discipline, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Two years of experience in an FDA manufacturing environment within the Food or Nutraceutical Industry.
  • Two years of hands-on machine experience, encapsulation machines a plus.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to take directions, understand GMP’s, and maintain high quality workmanship.
  • Have hands-on capability to operate all machinery and equipment, including the ability to tear down and reassemble machinery.
  • Be able to operate higher-level technical machines and/or create bulk batches from raw material using formulations from technical directions.
  • Effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading.
  • Willingness to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands.
