About the role
The ELA Instructor at Howard High School of Technology will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts to high school students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
- Assess student learning through various methods including quizzes, tests, and projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and activities
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching license in English Language Arts
- Experience teaching English Language Arts at the high school level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
