EL PUNT DE LECTURA
About the Project
El Punt de Lectura is a project led by Assumpció Lisson in collaboration with the Centre rural de documentació i experimentació Àngels Garriga de Mata in Saifores (Baix Penedès) and the Màster d’Entorns d’ensenyament i aprenentatge amb tecnologies digitals at the Faculty of Pedagogy, University of Barcelona. It is promoted by the Fundació Artur Martorell and the Associació de Mestres Rosa Sensat.
The project focuses on fostering the personal and social development of teachers and students through reading—including narratives, stories, short films, and poetry—as well as reviewing new books for children and young people. It also evaluates reading possibilities based on literary quality and recommended age groups.
Objectives
- Promote reading in a broad sense: enhancing personal communication, interpersonal relationships, and the construction of knowledge and attitudes.
- Deepen the understanding and expression of knowledge, emotions, feelings, and desires by analyzing current practices and proposing improvements.
- Support intellectual, emotional, and social development through communication, expression, and creation—fostering communicative competence (linguistic and audiovisual) via reading, writing, and oral interactions.
- Leverage communication and exchange opportunities through libraries/mediateques, interviews, debates, storytelling, and digital platforms.
- Progressively develop communicative competence in increasingly complex texts across various formats and media.
Project Structure
The project is organized into five research and innovation groups, where educators from all educational levels (early childhood to university) collaborate cooperatively:
- Biblioteca Escolar – Coordinated by Rosa Securún
- Competència Informacional – Coordinated by Jordi Quintana
- Competència Mediàtica – Coordinated by Joan Ferrés
- Desenvolupament Personal i Social – Coordinated by Pere Darder and Assumpció Lisson
- Llegir i escriure – Coordinated by Artur Noguerol
The experience and participation of the Associació de Mestres Rosa Sensat Library team—Pau Raga and Amàlia Ramoneda—as well as the project’s resources, materials, and facilities, form the foundation of this initiative.
