El Dorado Hills - Janitor Supervisor Full-Time $25.75 per hour
About the role
The theatre janitor supervisor is a team member classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or a full-time hourly employee solely employed by Regal and on Regal’s payroll. The janitor supervisor also acts as key point of contact with the General Manager to ensure that standards are delivered by all janitorial team members. Represent and act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning all auditoriums prior to opening for business
- Ensuring all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business
- Ensuring all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business
- Ensuring the janitorial closet area is clean, organized and stocked with needed supplies
- Reporting any facility damage found to the General Manager
- Responsible for securing and reporting any found items to management
- Maintain building security in keeping doors secured and alarm set and disabled as required (if applicable)
- Ensure all non-public areas are secure including arming, disarming and general operation of the alarm system
- Regularly meet with General Manager or designated members of management to walk the facility, review performance of janitorial staff and implement strategies to ensure standards are being met
- Direct, as needed, the duties of other members of the janitorial staff and ensure that they are completing tasks and delivering standards
- Effectively manage inventory of paper products, cleaning chemicals and other disposables to control costs
- Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods
- Have knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Personal Skills: Interface effectively with co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others
- Education/Experience: Prior janitorial experience preferred
- Language Ability: Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with management staff. Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and ability to explain information to others
- Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems. Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, and implement solutions. Take action beyond what is necessarily called for, and perform tasks with a minimal amount of supervision. Perform under pressure and/or opposition
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 60 pounds
