EKG Technician- Weekends

About the role

Performs routine electrocardiography, holter monitoring, and is technically competent in exercise and pharmacologic stress testing and other special procedures. Collects information pertinent to the interpretation of the test. Provides care to patients of varying ages and age‑related needs.

Requirements

• Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of an EKG Technician.
• Comprehensive knowledge, skills, and ability in routine electrocardiography, holter monitoring, exercise, and pharmacologic stress testing.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
• Ability to read and comprehend English to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
• Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Basic computer keyboard skills.
• Previous experience as an EKG Technician (preferred).
• Current CPR training certification.
• High school graduate or equivalent and completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
