About the Hospital

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on January 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. The hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Corewell Health doctors on faculty.

Responsibilities

• Performs Electrocardiograms in a variety of settings, including outpatient, the Emergency Department, and all in-house locations.
• Maintains EKG equipment and ensures sufficient inventory to operate EKG services efficiently.
• Performs clerical duties such as computer entry, filing, recording, mailing, and reporting as needed.
• Completes all test orders in EPIC to ensure appropriate charges are processed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EKG training, either through an exclusive EKG training program or as part of other educational programs. Prior work experience performing EKGs may fulfill this requirement.
• Six months of relevant experience, specifically as an EKG technician.

Qualifications

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is preferred.

Schedule

• Casual/Part-time position with variable shifts: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, or 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
• Variable days and weekend frequency.
