EKG Technician (Part time), Forbes Hospital

About the role

This position involves performing 12 lead ECG's, cardiac stress testing, applying Holter Monitors and Event Monitors for inpatients and outpatients, managing clinical data in the MUSE system, and recording, archiving, correcting, and processing ECG reports.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely, high quality diagnostic testing such as ECG's, Holter Monitors, and Event Monitors accurately and efficiently and according to established guidelines for procedure.
• Performs ECG Management System (MUSE) functions and related clerical duties.
• Maintains testing equipment and department in clean operating condition.
• Maintains organized and complete documentation of clinical data for all procedures, and ensures the availability of complete electronic files for physician review.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of ECG interpretation coursework.
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
