About the role

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused EKG Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform electrocardiograms and related cardiac diagnostic testing for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clinical providers while supporting early detection and management of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EKGs, rhythm strips, and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort
  • Properly place electrodes and operate EKG equipment according to established protocols
  • Monitor patients during testing and report abnormal findings to the supervising clinician
  • Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and timely submission of test results
  • Maintain and clean equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff
  • Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an EKG Technician training program preferred
  • EKG Technician certification (CET or equivalent) preferred
  • Prior experience performing EKGs strongly preferred
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills
  • Comfortable working with the geriatric population
  • Ability to travel as needed
