Role Overview
The EHS Technician supports environmental, health, and safety compliance at a manufacturing facility, performing assessments, inspections, and documentation tasks to ensure adherence to regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, inventories, and inspections related to environmental and safety standards.
- Maintain and update safety documentation using various software programs.
- Manage data for SDS, Hazcomm, accident reports, and corrective actions.
- Provide environmental and safety training to personnel.
- Prepare reports for agencies and internal records.
- Oversee PPE programs, ergonomics, fire suppression, and extinguisher inspections.
- Assist with developing new safety programs and procedures.
- Participate in emergency response planning and workplace audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's in EHS or related field preferred.
- 0-2+ years of experience in an EHS environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with report-building and computer programs related to EHS.
