EHS Technician (Multiple Shifts)

Role Overview

The EHS Technician supports environmental, health, and safety compliance at a manufacturing facility, performing assessments, inspections, and documentation tasks to ensure adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, inventories, and inspections related to environmental and safety standards.
• Maintain and update safety documentation using various software programs.
• Manage data for SDS, Hazcomm, accident reports, and corrective actions.
• Provide environmental and safety training to personnel.
• Prepare reports for agencies and internal records.
• Oversee PPE programs, ergonomics, fire suppression, and extinguisher inspections.
• Assist with developing new safety programs and procedures.
• Participate in emergency response planning and workplace audits.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's in EHS or related field preferred.
• 0-2+ years of experience in an EHS environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with report-building and computer programs related to EHS.
