Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Aid in implementing EHS systems including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, and Medical programs.
  • Educate personnel to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Oversee the wastewater process for full compliance with applicable discharge permits.
  • Assess risk associated with manufacturing processes and act to minimize risks.
  • Assist in defining, obtaining, and coordinating necessary EHS reports, permits, communications, and EHS self-assessments for the location.
  • Develop and update EHS written programs and safe work instructions.
  • Absorb and coordinate fire drills and other emergency response activities.
  • Develop and facilitate EHS training.
  • Using VelocityEHS, manage and analyze incident data.
  • Complete Health and Safety audits and inspections.
  • Manage Job Observation/Behavior Based Programs.
  • Identify hazard assessments and manage to closure.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and identify corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • A preferred Associate's science degree (AA) or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering, or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience related to manufacturing and repair operations.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft software including Excel, Power Point & Word.
