Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid in implementing EHS systems including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, and Medical programs.
- Educate personnel to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and standards.
- Oversee the wastewater process for full compliance with applicable discharge permits.
- Assess risk associated with manufacturing processes and act to minimize risks.
- Assist in defining, obtaining, and coordinating necessary EHS reports, permits, communications, and EHS self-assessments for the location.
- Develop and update EHS written programs and safe work instructions.
- Absorb and coordinate fire drills and other emergency response activities.
- Develop and facilitate EHS training.
- Using VelocityEHS, manage and analyze incident data.
- Complete Health and Safety audits and inspections.
- Manage Job Observation/Behavior Based Programs.
- Identify hazard assessments and manage to closure.
- Conduct ergonomic evaluations and identify corrective actions.
Qualifications
- A preferred Associate's science degree (AA) or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering, or equivalent verifiable experience.
- 3+ years of EHS experience related to manufacturing and repair operations.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft software including Excel, Power Point & Word.
