About the role

As an EHS Specialist, you will support the EHS Manager in one or more EHS specializations, promoting the EHS culture across the organization. This position is based 100% on site at our Devon, Florence location.

Responsibilities

  • Support management and operations staff for internal/external regulatory compliance
  • Stay abreast of EHS regulations and apply knowledge to projects and daily tasks
  • Liaise with authorities related to Environment, Health, and Safety; report any concerns to the EHS Manager
  • Lead incident, injury, and complaint investigations and propose corrective actions
  • Evaluate regulatory permitting requirements and submit permit applications to applicable agencies
  • Develop compliance training and documentation and conduct EHS trainings
  • Facilitate toolbox meetings and deliver other EHS training
  • Participate in the development of EHS procedures, recommend changes, and track their implementation
  • Organize and participate in regular site safety inspections with department/area owners; report findings and follow up on corrections and prevention
  • Follow up on all audit findings and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
  • Help organize site EHS committee meetings and follow up on all agreed actions
  • Assist in risk assessment and provide solutions to minimize risks

Requirements

  • Degree in Science/Engineering or EHS field
  • At least 1 year of working experience in similar EHS roles
  • Appropriate country EHS qualification/certifications
  • Expertise in environmental area is a plus
