EHS Specialist

Essential Functions

• Affords assistance in the design, analysis, review, administration, and implementation of the Company’s occupational health and safety programs.
• Coordinates EHS improvement activities with other departments.
• Identifies hazards and determines corrective actions to improve health and safety in the workplace.
• Performs incident investigations and implements corrective actions.
• Develops and implements job safety analysis (JHA) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various job tasks.
• Maintains oversight of waste streams and waste products to identify ways to reduce or eliminate waste generation.
• Assists with industrial hygiene monitoring and assessments.
• Conducts routine safety inspections to ensure compliance with company and government health and safety standards and regulations.
• Oversees EHS training programs through content development, scheduling, delivery, and record management.
• Supports environmental and sustainability programs, permits, and reports, including ISO 14001 certification, stormwater permit, waste programs, and chemical management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, or related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in occupational health, safety, or related technical field.
• Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Certificates & Licenses: GSP preferred.
• Other Requirements: Experience with Operational Excellence methodologies, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills.
