EHS Site Group Lead

About the role

The EHS Site Group Lead provides day-to-day leadership for environmental, health, and safety programs at the site. This role works closely with the EHS Manager and reports to the EHS Director, who serves as the site EHS head.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk, strengthen safety culture, and support business operations through effective program management, training, and continuous improvement.
• Support site security and emergency response programs may require.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field (such as environmental protection or process safety) or a related discipline such as engineering, chemistry, or operations management.
• 3+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Experience in supporting environmental protection programs, environmental permits and compliance obligations (i.e. air, wastewater, hazardous waste, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience in fire and explosion prevention in pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries is a plus.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and related equipment.

• Ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization, from the production floor to management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional departments.
• Ability to support continuous improvement initiatives in a safe and compliant manner.
