About the Role
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer will create, facilitate, and maintain all safety and environmental procedures and policies at the West Jordan site. They will also act as the NOVVA site contact for Safety and Environmental needs and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HSE regulations.
- Help develop, implement, and maintain safety and environmental programs.
- Shape a positive safety culture by conducting walkthroughs and performing audits.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the Management of Change process.
- Manage the Risk Assessment process.
- Spearhead Sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and communicate Safety KPIs and Metrics.
- Develop, manage, and maintain incident reporting procedures and processes.
- Serve as a member of the NOVVA / INNIO leadership team.
- Cover weekend and night on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
- Order and maintain all PPE stocks for the NOVVA site.
- Conduct all site-specific HSE training.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the ergonomics program at NOVVA.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the industrial hygiene program at NOVVA.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a safety professional.
- Previous industrial experience.
- Certified Safety Professional (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of industrial operations and maintenance.
- Willingness to work nights or weekends as needed.
- Willingness to be on call.
