As the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will lead critical EHS programs at our Indianapolis facility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the site EHS function and production operators.
- Develop practical solutions and execute them with urgency and ownership.
- Lead the site's environmental programs, including waste management, air and water permits, and chemical requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through training, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee reporting and recordkeeping for environmental and safety metrics.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and inspections.
- Draft and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Champion the EHS Management System by utilizing data to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Lead security efforts in partnership with Corporate and plant Leadership Teams.
Qualifications
- CSP or ASP certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.
- 4–6 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and relevant EHS regulations.
- Experience with EHS Management Systems, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to independently drive EHS initiatives from identification through implementation with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS software platforms.
Work Environment
May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame. Ability to work in hot and cold manufacturing production environments.
