About the role
The EHS Coordinator I supports and trains supervisors and coordinators on EHS policies and procedures, serves as the primary point of contact for EHS, and assists in managing safety supplies and coordinating meetings.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the point of contact for EHS department and routes needed actions.
- Contributes to EHS department trainings and communications.
- Maintains EHS training calendar and records.
- Develops or updates EHS trainings and presentations.
- Coordinates EHS meetings and meeting actions.
- Supports employees in EHS matters.
- Orders safety supplies.
- Maintains EHS files.
- Attends trade shows and participates in professional safety-related associations.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills.
- Solid knowledge of records maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of computer use and applications.
- Basic knowledge of project management.
- Basic knowledge of report writing and maintenance of statistical records.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to present information to groups.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial safety processes.
- Ability to measure and communicate site and company metrics.
- Ability to plan and adapt plans.
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
- High school degree or GED required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in Workers Compensation, EHS, or technical trade.
Pay
$19.00 - $23.00 hourly, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
