EHS Coordinator

About the role
As an EHS Coordinator at Vestcom (an Avery Dennison company), you will play a key role in driving environmental compliance, occupational health, and safety programs across our U.S. manufacturing facilities. Working autonomously with limited supervision, you will conduct hazard assessments, lead root-cause incident investigations, and foster a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement. This position offers direct career advancement across both Vestcom and the global Avery Dennison enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Implement EHS systems, conduct facility audits, and ensure daily adherence to OSHA, EPA, and internal EHS standards.
- Facilitate risk assessments, self-inspections, and root-cause analyses to address deficiencies and track corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver engaging site training while serving as a trusted EHS advisor to facility leadership and staff.
- Monitor leading and lagging performance indicators, track EHS metrics, and notify leadership or regulatory agencies of incidents as required.
- Stay current on regulatory laws and partner with multi-site teams to support corporate EHS and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of EHS, occupational safety, or environmental compliance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
- Foundational understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations, hazard assessments, and waste management practices.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or office tools; ability to travel up to 10%.
