Responsibilities

• Create business requirement documents covering functional and non-functional requirements, based on information gathered from workshops and interviews with client stakeholders.
• Craft high- and low-level software designs, validate through prototypes, and incorporate feedback to optimize functionality.
• Develop critical and complex software applications and engage with the development team to establish coding standards and methodologies in sync with design and architectural specifications.
• Create and guide the execution of comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring conformance with functional and non-functional requirements.
• Guide the technical implementation of system infrastructure and introduction of new software applications to ensure efficient deployment and adherence to project schedules.
• Ensure consistent system rollouts by orchestrating transitions and minimizing operational disruptions.
• Analyse incident trends to identify root causes, propose sustainable solutions, and establish monitoring protocols.
• Provide specialized insights and build collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams to secure successful project execution.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases to ensure vital information is systematically recorded and readily available.
• Contribute to the selection of technological tools by collaborating with architects and provide insights on the prospective influence of new technologies.
• Contribute to the development of technical implementation roadmaps based on an understanding of client business needs.
• Contribute to proposals and RFPs by delivering insights related to the development of software applications for successfully delivering proposed solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Required Skills and Experience

• 15–20 years of Mining Industry applications experience is required.
• Provide functional and technical production support for enterprise EHS and environmental applications, including SAP Environmental Compliance, Intelex, Sphera, and Hydrosphere.
• Investigate application, integration, reporting, and data-quality issues using SQL queries, database views, stored procedures, and source-data analysis.
• Support integrations with field data collection systems, LIMS, PI Historian, and other enterprise applications.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand environmental and regulatory reporting requirements and resolve data or report discrepancies.
• Translate business requirements into technical inputs, Jira stories, defects, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, application releases, rollout communication, and post-production validation.
• Collaborate with global technical and functional teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Support and enhance enterprise environmental and EHS applications such as SAP Environmental Compliance, Intelex, Sphera, and Hydrosphere.
• Troubleshoot production, reporting, integration, and data-quality issues using SQL.
• Coordinate interfaces involving LIMS, PI Historian, field systems, and external applications.
• Gather business and regulatory requirements and convert them into Jira stories, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Support regulatory reporting, UAT, application releases, and post-release validation.
• Work closely with business users, developers, and global delivery teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.

Pay

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:

• In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ, VT, MA: $73,000 to $102,200
• In Washington, DC: $66,500 to $100,300
