Responsibilities
- Supports communication and ensures compliance with EHS and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Provides support and counsel to leaders and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of EHS policies, procedures and practices.
- Covers employee issues and/or concerns; if necessary, conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations to ensure concerns are appropriately resolved in a timely manner.
- Works effectively with local HR team.
- Maintains accurate employee records and administrative procedures that comply with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and employees.
- Participates in meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities.
- Outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform on workplace safety.
- Basic First Aid Response
- Accident/incident/near miss prevention, regulations and response
- Regulatory compliance, programs and expectations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, or equivalent field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 4-7 years related experience in Safety.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to effectively work with others and maintain professional demeanor.
- Exceptional Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
