About the role
Registered Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at Exeter Hospital are leaders and partners in patient care. The units aim for a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, allowing for direct patient care and family involvement.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care at the bedside using a computerized documentation system.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to contribute to patient care decisions.
- Provide emotional and physical support to patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- One year critical care or telemetry experience preferred.
- RN License from the N.H. state or any other compact state.
- BCLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Experience in a fast-paced environment and a collaborative approach are essential.
