Responsibilities

• Gather eggs by sorting them based on size, cleanliness, shape, and presence of cracks.
• Clean eggs as necessary.
• Stack egg flats.
• Clean workrooms.
• Empty trash.
• Change dip pans daily, emptying and refilling rectangular pans that are half full of liquid.
• Walk houses 4-5 times daily to gather up to 13,600 eggs daily from conveyor belts.
• Help maintain and clean ranch grounds.
• Clean waters, lifting up to 40 pounds to dump water and scrubbing up to 160 drinkers per day.
• Clean ceiling lights.
• Transfer to other farms.
• Clean up ranch between flocks, performing routine heavy lifting and operating a high-pressure washer.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Able to walk up to 5 miles per day.
• Able to step into and out of a gathering pit numerous times each day (steep stairs).
• Able to bend over and pick up eggs from the floor.
• Able to climb a 12-foot ladder.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Passes a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Pay

The pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm, and an additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am.
