EFDA I

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to doctors including charting, filling placement, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Performs expanded duties in accordance with state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures and treatments such as placing amalgam or composite fillings, adapting temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments.
• Records and reviews patient health histories, makes chart entries under the doctor’s direction, and ensures the completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans as directed by the treating doctor.

Requirements

• EFDA Certification or on-the-job training required per state requirements.
• Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
• One to five years of experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

Schedule

Monday - Tuesday: 8 am - 5 pm
Wednesday - Thursday: 7 am - 4 pm
