About the role
Perform electroencephalograph (EEG) and neurodiagnostic exams under physician orders, with potential supervision from the department manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and document physician orders, schedule patients, and gather medical histories.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, measure for electrode placement, and apply electrodes accurately.
- Perform advanced neurodiagnostic exams, maintain equipment, and make minor adjustments.
- Assist with scheduling, support departmental tasks, and perform entry-level supervisory duties when needed.
- Ensure patient and staff safety, adhere to policies, manage supplies, and maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Support professional growth through continuing education, serve as a mentor, and contribute to team development.
- Create compassionate, personalized patient experiences, exemplify service standards, and promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate's degree preferred; minimum three years of related experience with degree or five years without.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Eligibility to take the National Registry exam.
- Ability to prepare patients, perform neurodiagnostic exams, and support team coordination.
