Job Overview
The EEG Technician is responsible for performing EEG tests when requested by a physician.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Board registration within one (1) year from date of hire required. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Preferred: Prior EEG Technician experience strongly preferred.
Essential Functions
- The EEG Technician is responsible for performing EEG tests when requested by a physician.
- As part of the testing process, an EEG Technician will gather a patient's medical history, explain testing procedures, and prepare the patient for the procedure.
- During testing, the EEG Technician monitors the patient's status and notes any abnormalities.
- After testing is complete, the EEG Technician reports their findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis.
