About the Role
The EEG Technologist performs neurophysiological tests, including EEG, evoked potentials, and long-term epilepsy monitoring, under general supervision. They measure and place electrodes, observe and document patient behaviors, and explain procedures to patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Conducts routine and stat testing in the lab and bedside procedures.
- Inspects and maintains equipment, liaising with vendors and biomed staff.
- Participates in training, onboarding, and education of staff and new physicians.
- Optimizes scheduling and manages EEG records and server storage.
- Completes billing accurately and reviews supply and equipment needs.
- Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and program development.
- Acts as a technical resource and communicates with departmental staff for study coordination.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an NDT program and ABRET registration preferred.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience.
- BLS certification required.
