EEG Technician

About the Role

Perform basic and advanced EEG testing, brain mapping, evoked potential testing, and monitoring for neonates, pediatrics, and adults.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EEG tests, monitor brain activity, and prepare reports for physician interpretation.
• Manage test preparation, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure optimal functioning of tools and testing rooms.
• Handle paperwork related to EEG storage and retrieval, and serve as system expert.
• Perform testing in various settings including labs and operating rooms.
• Take on-call responsibilities for neurological testing and assist with billing processes.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• EEG certification required.
• Minimum six months of EEG experience; one year preferred.
• Knowledge of test preparation, equipment troubleshooting, and system management.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
