Located at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, 94 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. Full‑time, day shift position in the EEG department.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG tests as ordered by physicians while following established neurodiagnostic protocols and safety standards
• Review patient medical histories, explain testing procedures, and prepare patients for EEG examinations to promote comfort and cooperation
• Apply EEG electrodes accurately and ensure equipment is functioning properly to obtain high‑quality diagnostic recordings
• Monitor patients throughout testing, observe for changes in condition, and document abnormalities or notable events during the procedure
• Recognize technical issues and make appropriate adjustments to support accurate test results
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and testing observations to support physician interpretation
• Communicate findings and completed studies to physicians and members of the healthcare team for further evaluation and diagnosis
• Provide compassionate care to patients of varying ages while maintaining professionalism, privacy, and respect throughout the testing experience
• Maintain equipment and follow infection prevention, safety, and organizational standards to support a safe clinical environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commitment to obtain board registration within one year of hire
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Qualifications

• Prior EEG Technician experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members in a clinical environment

Pay

Pay Range: $29.76 – $38.72 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time, day shift.
