Your future role at a glance Location: Hoffman Estates, IL Facility: Ascension Saint Alexius Department: Ambulatory Suregery Center Schedule: Shift: Evening shift | Full-time How you’ll make an impact in this role Attaches, connects, and operates electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.Reviews patient's record and instructs patients prior to procedures. Monitors patient during procedures and reports any abnormal findings.Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.Maintains EEG equipment and supplies. What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration Required Credential(s):BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Preferred Credential(s):Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET). Education High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
