About the role
This role will be primarily tasked with providing EEE component guidance to suppliers & design team, developing new products, and aiding current active & passive RF production for space applications. The role will work with a multidisciplinary group of individuals including design / test / project engineering, as well as program management / operations / supply chain to meet the needs of development and production programs. This role will also be integral to technical investigations and will support new business activities on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Component lifecycle management including component onboarding (e.g. footprint / part number creation), library management, and obsolescence review.
- Evaluate designs for component reliability, industry standards compliance, and mission usage.
- Support component failure analyses and risk assessments.
- Interface with suppliers, supply chain, design engineers, production/manufacturing, and mission assurance/quality.
- Supporting customer meetings, milestones (CDR, PDR, MRR …) and guiding the team through those events.
- Actively seek out innovative technologies and support new product development to ensure continued industry leadership.
- Support new business activity through proposal review and improvements on current designs.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree in a related field, EE preferred, with post graduate work a plus.
- Experience in component screening, testing, and qualifications required, with strong emphasis on space industry.
- Familiar with EEE component standards (MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-PRF-49464, MIL-STD-883, …).
- Proficient with circuit design tools a plus.

Pay
$105,000 - $150,000/year, DOE
