EEC Certified Toddler Teacher Newton
About the role
JCC Greater Boston in Newton, MA, is seeking a Certified Toddler Teacher to join our team. This position provides an opportunity to work with students of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on creating a positive, nurturing environment that fosters learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and take risks
- Maintain full responsibility for the smooth running of the classroom environment
- Work in partnership with Early Learning Center Directors and peers to co-create a collaborative, dynamic, positive, and innovative classroom culture
- Partner and communicate with families to ensure the best care and education for the children
- Design and implement curriculum
- Complete observation and document assessments regarding children's progress
- Adhere to all EEC regulations as well as NAEYC guidelines
Qualifications
- EEC certification required
- A love of children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
- Strong organizational skills, including teamwork, relationship-building skills, the ability to multitask, the ability to manage situations effectively and diplomatically
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability and commitment to build strong relationships with families, co-workers, ELC leadership, and JCCGB colleagues
- Commitment to create and foster a dynamic environment where play and learning are a top priority
- Computer literate
