JCC Greater Boston in Newton, MA, is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Certified Toddler Teacher to join our team. About the role

As a Certified Toddler Teacher at JCC Greater Boston, you will inspire and engage students while developing educational programs that promote social, emotional, and academic growth. This is a full-time, salaried position. Part-time Toddler Teacher roles with multiple shift options are also available. For those interested in working with other age groups (infants, preschool, pre-K) or floater positions, please contact us to explore those options.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and take risks
  • Maintain full responsibility for the smooth running of the classroom environment
  • In partnership with Early Learning Center Directors and peers, co-create a collaborative, dynamic, positive, and innovative classroom culture
  • Work in partnership with JCC leadership and other departments to support JCC Greater Boston organizational goals and model JCC values
  • Partner and communicate with families to ensure the best care and education for the children
  • Design and implement curriculum
  • Complete observation and document assessments regarding children’s progress
  • Adhere to all EEC regulations as well as NAEYC guidelines

Requirements

  • EEC certification required
  • A love of children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
  • Strong organizational skills, including teamwork, relationship-building skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to manage situations effectively and diplomatically
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and commitment to build strong relationships with families, co-workers, ELC leadership, and JCCGB colleagues
  • Commitment to create and foster a dynamic environment where play and learning are a top priority
  • Computer literate

Pay

The starting salary for this full-time, salaried position is $47,940–$53,040. The salary offered will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position, the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity.
