EEC Certified Floating Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking an EEC certified preschool teacher who is passionate about fostering a welcoming environment that nurtures every child's potential and development. The position is available at the Boroughs Family Branch in Westborough.

Job Duties

• Has knowledge of and maintains NAEYC and DEEC standards.
• Assists the classroom teacher in implementing daily lesson/activity plans to support a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Greets parents and children and interacts with the children.
• Aware of children’s safety at all times.
• Makes and records observations of children.
• Maintains classroom and equipment.
• Change and feed children.
• Supervise outdoor play, handwashing, toileting.
• Flexible to schedule changes.
• Attends and participates in family nights, staff meetings, staff training, and YMCA special events.
• Performs additional duties as required and assigned by a supervisor to support the overall mission of the YMCA and to ensure the success of the Child Care Department.

Qualifications

• Must meet educational and experience qualifications established by DEEC, NAEYC, and QRIS.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must obtain and keep current certification in CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention.
• Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay: $20.00 per hour.

• Hiring Bonus: New hires for EEC Full-Time teaching positions will receive a $1000 bonus—$250 after 90 days, $250 at 180 days, and $500 on the 1st anniversary.
