Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair R&D hardware prototypes.
- Perform mechanical assembly of prototype systems.
- Conduct cable qualification, testing, and modifications.
- Use hand tools, microscopes, soldering equipment, DMMs, and oscilloscopes.
- Read electrical schematics and assist with PCB bring-up and debugging.
- Create rework documentation and maintain detailed development records.
- Record build data and test results.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to communicate findings.
- Follow ISO 16949 procedures and maintain an ESD-safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience with soldering and inspection of PCBAs.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
- Familiarity with PCB layout viewers.
- Understanding of automotive product development processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.
- Knowledge of automotive requirements and design practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
