Primary Responsibilities
- Performs safety agency testing, electromechanical troubleshoot capabilities of mid-range to highly complex Electrical/Electronic and Sealed products and assemblies.
- Tests electrical units for voltages withstand, environmental, overload and temperature tests, with some vibration and mechanical shock as well as putting units into burn-in ovens.
- Utilizes state of the art standard, specialized, manual, and automated test equipment to specifications outlined in specific module performance specifications and acceptance test procedures.
- Test procedures, assembly drawings and schematics as well as input test yield data.
- Assemble, modify, repair, and improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls.
- Aid in developing new or updated electronic systems, components, or products.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Technical Degree, Vocational Degree or associate degree from a recognized college or technical institute with a major study in laboratory technology, avionics, or electronics.
- Experience: One year of experience in laboratory work conducting a wide variety of calibrations and maintenance relative to the Electronic Engineering Technology labs.
- Knowledge of the procedures and practices of laboratory technology such as electronic document control.
- Knowledge of the use of laboratory equipment and skill in the application of techniques utilized in conducting analyses using complicated laboratory equipment.
- Ability to follow standard laboratory methods and procedures.
Desired Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Experience operating computer driven electro-mechanical equipment.
- Experience soldering components in accordance with J-STD-001 to support the tuning process.
- Experience with data analysis of test data.
- Experience in writing test procedures and troubleshooting from schematics.
- Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming and communication skills.
