Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, differentiated instruction
• Maintain a structured and predictable classroom environment
• Support both academic growth and student confidence
• Collaborate closely with a supportive, team-oriented staff
• Ensure continuity of instruction through clear planning and communication
• Foster a welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and curiosity among students
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and clear expectations, ensuring a respectful learning environment
• Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and behavioral observations to support ongoing development and reporting

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with learning differences (including autism preferred)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Able to provide structure while remaining flexible
• Clear, proactive communication skills
• Dependable with strong follow-through and sense of responsibility
• Teaching certification preferred. Will consider if you are in the process of obtaining your teaching certification
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Experience working with children of various needs, including special education and early intervention programs
• Knowledge of literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and childcare best practices
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners
• Passion for working with children, fostering their welfare, and promoting positive behavioral growth
