What You'll Contribute

• Aid in mock drills on all shifts, including some weekends.
• Orient new contract nurses and new hires.
• Train and teach Handle with Care, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Aid in implementing new equipment and training.
• Aid in updating medication tests and unit-based competencies.
• Work closely with students and colleges to ensure a positive clinical or shadow experience.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as entering HealthStream modules, IT Security Requests, printing rosters, filing classes, copying, cleaning, and stocking the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Must have Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider and Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider Instructor certifications within 3 years.
• Must have ACLS and PALS Instructor certifications within 2 years.
• Experience in adult education.
• Experience in clinical settings with ongoing ability to demonstrate mastery of relevant clinical skills.

Pay and Schedule

• Scheduled: 40 hours per week | Full-Time Days.
• Includes flexibility for some nights and weekends when needed.
• Non-exempt.
