Responsibilities

• Assist with mock drills on all shifts including some weekends
• Orient new contract nurses and new hires
• Train and teach Handle with Care along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Assist with implementation of new equipment and assist with providing training
• Assist with updating medication tests and unit-based competencies
• Annually assist with the development and teaching at Skills Fair
• Work closely with students and colleges to ensure a positive clinical or shadow experience
• Other duties are administrative where they will assist with entering HealthStream modules, IT Security Requests, printing rosters and filing classes appropriately, copying, cleaning and stocking the department, etc.
• Follows established policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, and sensitivity to confidential information.
• Utilizes excellent customer service skills at all times.
• Complies with Federal and State law and accrediting and licensing agencies at all times, to include but not limited to, the Joint
