Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, founded in 1952, is a renowned institution combining a zoological park, botanical garden, art institute, and natural history museum focused on the Sonoran Desert and neighboring ecosystems. Located 12 miles west of Tucson on a 98-acre site, it offers a unique educational experience through living collections, interactive exhibits, and hands-on learning. The Museum is internationally recognized for its conservation work, scientific research, and comprehensive collections of animals, plants, minerals, and fossils. Its mission is to inspire people to live in harmony with the natural world by fostering love, appreciation, and understanding of the Sonoran Desert.
About the role
Join our creative education team as a full-time Educator. You'll lead programs that ignite curiosity and foster a life-long passion for wildlife, habitat preservation, and the natural world. Through hands-on, interdisciplinary learning that connects ecology, mathematics, art, and more, you'll help students discover the wonders of the Sonoran Desert while making a lasting impact on their understanding of conservation.
Requirements
- Successfully complete a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and provide a current satisfactory 39-month driver's history report as a final condition of employment.
