What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops that enable K-3 students to develop communication, concentration, feedback skills, and other enduring competencies through hands-on engagement rather than passive instruction.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, validated motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships to ensure every child remains aligned with challenging weekly learning targets.
  • Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2Pass system, coaching students until they exhibit genuine mastery—not merely attendance or effort.
  • Tailor your coaching approach to match the developmental stage of your cohort, incorporating songs, physical movement, and narrative for younger students or emphasizing greater autonomy and responsibility for older learners.
  • Cultivate relationships where students feel sufficiently supported to push beyond their perceived limitations.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering academic instruction from the front of the room.
  • Developing curriculum independently.
  • Supervising students as they work quietly on devices.
  • Reducing standards when students encounter difficulty.
  • Overseeing homework, grading assignments, or conducting routine parent correspondence.

Basic Requirements

  • Able to work on-site at an Alpha campus.
  • Current opportunities at this salary level are located in Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, Georgetown, Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, and Houston, TX; and Park City (Salt Lake City area), UT.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programming, or comparable settings.
  • Demonstrated success motivating young children to reach demanding goals, with concrete examples of your influence.
  • Confidence working with AI-powered learning systems while directing your efforts toward coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
  • Capacity to integrate warmth with consistently high expectations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in youth athletics, children's theater, camp direction, Montessori education, progressive schooling, or highly interactive after-school initiatives.
  • Personal history of reaching ambitious objectives in academics, sports, or professional pursuits.
  • Exceptional narrative or performance abilities that effortlessly engage young children's attention.
  • Track record of transforming hesitant or reserved children into confident, active contributors.
