Educational Technician III - Autism Home Services

About the role
The Educational Technician III – Autism Home Services role provides instruction and behavioral support in a home/community based treatment program for 1-3 year olds with autism. Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Director, the Education Tech III provides services that support the achievement of communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior and motor goals of students.
Requirements
- Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.
- Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) required or must obtain within 90 days of start date.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to transportation required.
- Two years of experience in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred.
- Experience/interest in working with children ages 1-3 with autism and other developmental disabilities preferred.
- Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of the Educational Tech II role.
- DOE fingerprinting required.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.38 to $31.63 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
